Composition: Sunflower Lecithin (>=90% phosphatidylcholine), High oleic LCT Sunflower Oil Powder, MCT Oil Powder
Mechanism: Encapsulates CAG in phospholipid bilayers. Bypasses hepatic first-pass via lymphatic absorption. Protects from gastric degradation.
HPbetaCD Cyclodextrin Complex
Composition: Hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (HPbetaCD)
Mechanism: Cages CAG molecules in hydrophilic cavities. Prevents hepatic metabolism by shielding the molecule from CYP450 enzymes. Improves water solubility.
Bioavailability Activators
Composition: Bergamottin (from grapefruit), Gingerol, Sodium Caprate
Mechanism: Inhibits CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein efflux. Extends circulation time. Enhances intestinal permeability.
Important: The 65-80% projected absorption is estimated based on individual ingredient pharmacokinetic studies. Direct head-to-head bioavailability study of the complete TELOGENIS matrix is pending. Individual results may vary. Standard oral CAG loses 91.8% to hepatic removal (Zhu et al., 2010).

Important: The de Jaeger 2024 RCT used ASTCOQ02, a multi-ingredient blend (Astragalus extract + olive fruit extract + zinc + grape seed extract), NOT pure CAG. Results cannot be attributed solely to CAG. Hydroxytyrosol from olives has independent anti-aging effects that may have contributed.

A 6-month trial in 40 adults found a multi-ingredient Astragalus supplement lengthened telomeres. This was a blend containing Astragalus extract, olive fruit extract, zinc, and grape seed extract — not pure CAG alone.
Salvador et al. (2016)
Rejuvenation Research — PMID: 26950204
A 12-month trial in older CMV-positive adults found low-dose TA-65 lengthened telomeres. High dose did not, suggesting a complex dose-response. TA-65 is a proprietary formulation, not pure CAG.
Harley et al. (2011)
Rejuvenation Research — PMID: 20822369
An observational study found immune profile improvements in adults on a comprehensive health program including TA-65. Not a controlled trial — multiple confounders present.
